Part 91 Aircraft Management
PJM is led by executives who have operated at the highest levels of private aviation. We focus exclusively on Part 91 aircraft management — because specialization is how you get it right.
Our Message
"Safety is not a buzzword. It is the standard by which every decision we make is measured."
Private aviation attracts a lot of operators. Very few of them have actually run large-scale flight operations, managed complex fleets, or built organizations from the ground up. Our leadership has done all of it.
We focus exclusively on Part 91 aircraft management. Not because we can't do more — because doing one thing exceptionally well is how you earn the trust of owners who expect the best. When you work with PJM, you work directly with the people responsible for your aircraft.
Whether you operate a single family aircraft or a multi-aircraft corporate flight department, our approach is the same — direct oversight, experienced management, and complete accountability at every level.
Services
Everything we do is built around Part 91 operations — protecting your asset, your crew, and your schedule.
We handle every aspect of your aircraft's operation — maintenance oversight, crew management, regulatory compliance, and scheduling. Our proactive approach minimizes downtime, protects asset value, and ensures your aircraft is always ready when you are.
Maintenance is where corners get cut and costs spiral. We manage vendor relationships, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events, and airworthiness compliance with the same rigor we apply to flight operations — nothing gets overlooked.
Your crew represents your aircraft and shares your expectations for excellence. We oversee hiring, training, scheduling, and compliance — ensuring the people flying your aircraft meet the highest professional standards, every flight.
Considering an acquisition, a fleet change, or an operational restructure? We bring nearly three decades of real-world experience to every advisory engagement — guidance built on operational depth, not theory.
Leadership
Our team has operated at the highest levels of private aviation. That depth of experience is what you're hiring when you choose PJM.
Jon Mende has spent nearly three decades at the center of private aviation — not as an observer, but as the person building, running, and growing the operations. He founded his first aviation services company in 1998 and has been operating at the executive level ever since, serving as Vice President of Aircraft Acquisition at Delta Private Jets and leading organizations across aircraft management, MRO, fleet development, and commercial strategy.
Over that career he has navigated complex aircraft transactions, built vendor ecosystems, led teams across multiple disciplines, and delivered results in one of the most demanding and regulated industries in the world.
At PJM, Jon leads all strategy and operations. He is not a figurehead — he is the person responsible for your aircraft.
Tanyika Sims brings over 20 years of experience in accounting, tax, and business advisory services to PJM. A certified tax and business advisor, she has spent years working within private aviation and understands its unique financial complexities — from aircraft depreciation and cost tracking to owner reporting and operational budgeting.
At PJM, Tanyika ensures every owner receives accurate, transparent financial reporting. She knows aviation accounting inside and out, and she makes sure the numbers are always right.
Paul Chiles brings more than three decades of hands-on maintenance expertise to PJM. He started as an aircraft technician at Heartland Aviation in 1994 and rose through the ranks to Director of Maintenance, where he oversaw regulatory compliance, team leadership, and operational excellence. Known for integrity and meticulous attention to detail, Paul is the person ensuring every aircraft under PJM management is maintained to the highest standards.
Terri Ollis has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant since 2000, bringing over 25 years of expertise in tax strategy, financial consulting, and business advisory services. A member of both the AICPA and the Kentucky Society of CPAs, Terri specializes in the tax laws governing aircraft ownership — including Section 179 deductions, depreciation strategies, and the specific IRS rules that apply to business aircraft use.
For aircraft owners, the tax implications of ownership are significant and often misunderstood. Terri ensures PJM clients are positioned correctly from day one — maximizing every available deduction while maintaining full compliance.
Why PJM
In aircraft management, the difference between good and exceptional comes down to who is accountable — and whether you can reach them.
We don't manage charter fleets or run fractional programs. Part 91 owner-operated aircraft is all we do — and that specialization shows in every decision we make.
When you call PJM, you reach the person responsible. Our leadership is hands-on and accessible — not insulated behind layers of account managers.
Every operational decision starts with safety. Not compliance minimums — genuine best practices executed by professionals who have spent careers in this industry.
PJM is headquartered at Teterboro Airport — the busiest private aviation airport in the world. We manage aircraft for owners across the United States and internationally, bringing the same standard of care and accountability to every aircraft regardless of where it's based.
Contact
We start by reviewing your current operation — your cost structure, your crew, your maintenance spend. Most owners are surprised by what we find. The economics of a well-managed aircraft are significantly lower than what most owners are paying today.
